While looking about the American Wing in the summer of 2011, I noticed that, by chance or design, the pieces displayed could be framed in a manner beyond simply "a photo of a statue."  That they could instead be part of larger narratives - whether that narrative is life and death, the beauty of the female form, or the objectification of women - that the visitor can imagine if they take a moment to really see what is around them.
